At Reel Reef Mafia Charters, we are dedicated to providing an unforgettable fishing experience. Our mission is to share the thrill of bottom fishing and trolling in the beautiful waters of Murrells Inlet, SC. Our charters include all the tackle, gear and bait to ensure a fun filled day of fishing. We also provide license, ice and bottled water. We will ice your catch down and even filet upon returning to port.

Trips

1/2 Day Nearshore - $900

Depending on the time of year, this 5 hour trip offers a chance to catch Red Drum, Sea Bass, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, and a variety of other fish typically within 15 miles.

3/4 Day Offshore - $1,200

7-8 hour fishing trip 20-35 miles offshore. Typically catch Sea Bass, Beeliners, White Grunts, King Mackerel, and a variety of other bottom fish.

Full Day Offshore Bottom Fishing - $2,000

This 10-12 hour trip gives you the opportunity to catch Triggerfish, a variety of Snapper, Grouper, King Mackeral, Shark, Porgies, Mahi and many other fish. Depending on conditions, we generally run 40+ miles offshore with this option.

Offshore Bottom Fishing/Trolling Combo - $2,000

This trip is designed for the dedicated angler to experience trolling for gulfstream pelagics like Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna and Mahi in the morning. The focus shifts in the afternoon to targeting large bottom fish such as Groupers, Yellowtail Snapper, Triggerfish, Porgies, Vermillion Snapper, Silver Snapper and many others.

Night Time Shark Trip 4hr - $700

Depart the dock in the before sunset and began the adventure of hunting the oceans top predators when they are most active! The sharks we typically catch are Blacktip, Bull, Spinner, Tiger and Atlantic Sharpnose and Bonnethead.

Our History

40 years of experience fishing off the coasts of the Atlantic Ocean and The Gulf led Captain Steve Rolan to begin sharing his knowledge and expertise with others who have a desire to hook the catch of their lifetime. Reel Reef Mafia Charters officially began in 2024 and have been successful in off shore fishing trips where anyone from the novice to the top angler can enjoy their day at sea.

Our Gear

We offer a wide range of fishing gear, conventional, spinning rods as well as trolling gear. All of our tackle is designed to meet the needs of anglers of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, we have the gear you need to make your next fishing trip a success.

Our Boat

At Reel Reef Mafia Charters, we currently fish on a Wellcraft 252 Fisherman. It’s powered by twin Yamaha 150 outboards, the industries most reliable engine! We are equipped with ship to shore VHF radio communication as well as EPIRB, Garmin Inreach satellite messenger. We are also equipped with low light navigation camera as well as radar. We also use GPS enabled trolling motor to spot lock us in position instead of having to constantly deploy the anchor, which makes for a much more stable fishing platform.
